She loves spreading the good to beings everywhere with intention through the beads and her brand.
Emily started EKD Collection initially beading bracelets poolside in the summer of 2020 as a way to share something positive she created with those around her. When she recognized the popularity and diverse markets her bracelets touched, she transitioned it into an actual business. Her triad creativity embodies the brand: interiors as an interior designer, everyday fashion as a brand, and art as an artist.
The brand is pure and intentional. A California native, Emily beads by hand in her airy, sundipped home and garden. A keen awareness for Mother Earth and connection to animals surround her vegetarian, holistic lifestyle. A custom chicken coop with a marigold garden sits in the backyard with two garden cats, and her forever muse, her dog Millie who is always by her side.
Emily draws inspiration from nature: a speckled egg, a lava rock from Hawaii, the grey of her chicken Sage, the way sun lights up a room. An appreciation for the healing properties of natural stone and the crystals also inspire the bracelets and their characteristics. Sometimes she bathes the beads under a full moon, and some are blessed in natural sunlight. All are carefully sourced and curated for a purpose of spreading good.
